Where to go during your stay
If I were in Olbia for just a day or less, I’d hit up the nearest beaches: Pittulongu, Bados or the amazing Porto Istana. I’d catch the sunset on the beach, then a quick shower before heading out for an aperitivo and dinner in downtown Olbia.
If I were in Olbia for a couple of days, I definitely wouldn’t miss Cala Brandinchi or Lu Impostu beach. I’d head out with an evening outfit already packed, so I could stop in San Teodoro on the way back for an aperitivo, dinner, and some nightlife
If I were in Olbia for more than three days, the first thing I’d do would be to take a boat trip to the La Maddalena Archipelago. On the way back, I’d stop in San Pantaleo for a sunset aperitivo and enjoy the stunning views on the way back to Olbia. After a quick shower, I’d head straight to Porto Rotondo or Golfo Aranci for dinner
Food & Drink - It's a must-try!
As you explore Olbia and the surrounding area, I recommend trying some traditional Sardinian dishes. Don’t miss the Zuppa Gallurese, Porceddu (roast suckling pig), Malloreddus (Sardinian gnocchi), and Culurgiones (stuffed pasta). And since you’re in Olbia, you must try the famous Olbia mussels, they’re a local specialty! For dessert, try the Seadas.

Try the Vermentino di Gallura, a crisp and refreshing white wine that pairs perfectly with seafood. If you prefer red, the Cannonau is a robust Sardinian favorite, and don’t miss out on Bovale, an ancient wine with deep, rich flavors. For something unique, sip on Mirto, a traditional liqueur made from myrtle berries, it’s the perfect way to end a meal. And if you’re in the mood for beer, Ichnusa is the local brew you’ve got to try!
